! CLYDE CHAMBERLAIN MEMORIAL SERVICES
!Memorial services for Clyde E Chamberlain, 56, Medford insurance and
investment planning counselor who died Wednesday, will be held at 1 PM,
Saturday at the Conger-Morris Downtown Chapel.
!Mr. Chamberlain, of 737 Stevens Ave had been an insurance and investment
planning counselor since the late 1950's and was associated with Varied
Investment Planning, Inc., C. E. Chamberlain, and Associates, Kelley and Morey
Investments, and Wester Life Insurance, a division of St Paul Companies.
!His early business career included sales representative for Sampson's Feed and
Seed; the office of Crystal Springs Packing Co.; sales manager of Pinnacle
Packing Company's gift department; and creation and operation of Gift Service,
Inc., a gift shopping service for military personnel stationed in the Pacific
theater.
!Mr. Chamberlain was a long time member of the Elks Club of Medford, the Rogue
Valley Country Club, the Oregon Pilots Association, Pas president of the 20-30
Club, active in the Rogue Valley Life Underwriters organization and 11 years
was a member of the Million Dollar Roundtable (representing annual insurance
sales).
!Mr. Chamberlain was born Sept 4, 1915 in Square Butte, Mont., a son of Edward
R and Clara L. Chamberlain. The family moved to the Rogue Valley in 1929, and
Mr. Chamberlain attended school in Grants Pass and Ashland before moving to
Eagle Point in 1933.
!He was a veteran of World War II, serving as a transportation officer with the
US Army from September, 1942, to October 1945.
!Survivors include two daughters, Miss Kriss Chamberlain, Los Angeles, Calif.,
and Mrs. Frank (Lee Ann) Ernandes, Eugene; his mother, Mrs. Clara Chamberlain,
Eagle Point; four brothers, Dr. Gene F. Chamberlain, Medford; Raymond B.
Chamberlain and Dick L. Chamberlain, Eagle Point, and Jack L. Chamberlain,
Fortuna, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Dale Burns, Medford, Mrs. Charles
Sturgill, Grants Pass, and Mrs. Wilson Smith, Seattle, Wash., and many nieces
and nephews.
!The body will lie in state until 8:30 o'clock tonight at the Conger-Morris
Downtown Chapel. Interment will be at the Siskiyou Memorial Park.
!Friends who wish may make contributions to the Heart Fund in Mr. Chamberlain's
memory.
