THIS INDENTURE made this 18th day of August in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred between Anthony Sadowsky of the county of Washington and Mary Evans, William Evans, David Evans Nathaniel Evans, John Welch and Mary his wife John McKinney & Hannah his wife William McConnell and Rebekah his wife of the county of Jessamine and Commonwealth of Kentucky of the one part and John Lowry the legates of James Lowry deceased Melvin Lowry of the county of Jessamine and Commonwealth aforesaid of the other part WITNESSETH that the said Anthony Sadowsky Mary Evans etc. for and in consideration of the sum of five shillings current money of Kentucky to them in hand paid the receipt whereof (p. 210) they do hereby acknowledge and forever acquit and discharge the said John Lowry etc. their heirs Exrs. and administrators & hath granted bargained sold aliened and confirmed and by these presents do grant bargain sell alien and confirm unto the said John Lowry etc. their heirs and assigns forever all that tract or parcel of land lying and being in the county of Jessamine and on the waters of Jessamine creek it being part of a preemption of one thousand acres obtained by Nathaniel Evans assignee of Anthony Sadowsky Viz. Beginning bounded as follows Beginning at a large buckeye by a pond near the ten mile tree on the Hickman road the Northeast corner to said preemption thence west three hundred and thirty poles to the northwest corner of said preemption a stake thence south five hundred and sixty poles the south west corner of said preemption a red oak and sugar tree thence east three hundred and thirty poles to the south east corner of said preemption a hackberry and sugar tree thence north sixty three poles to Blackford's south east corner a walnut & sugar tree thence west three hundred and twenty poles with a line of said Blackford's to his southwest corner a hickory standing in Caldwell's pasture thence north one hundred and five poles to a black walnut white ash and cherry tree thence east seventy nine poles to a stake a sugar tree and two hickorys thence north one hundred and twenty six poles to a white ash and honey locust in Rice's line thence north sixty one degrees west with said line one hundred and five poles to a honey locust in the said line thence north twenty eight degrees east one hundred and forty poles to a buckeye and two hickorys in said Rice's upper line thence south sixty two degrees east two hundred and ninety two poles with said line to a stake a hickory white ash and sugar tree in said preemption line thence No. 24 poles to the Beginning (p. 211) together with all improvements water courses and appurtenances - whatsoever to the said premises belonging or in anywise appertaining and the reversions remainders and profits thereof and all the estate right title interest property claim and demand of them the said Anthony Sadowsky Mary Evans etc. of in and to the same To have and to hold the lands hereby conveyed with all and singular the premises and every part and parcel thereof with every of the appurtenances unto the said John Lowry etc. their heirs and assigns forever to the only proper use of them the said John Lowry etc. their heirs and assigns forever and the said Anthony Sadowsky Mary Evans etc. for themselves their heirs Exrs. and admrs. do covenant promise and agree to and with the said John Lowry etc. their heirs and assigns by these presents that the premises before mentioned now are and forever hereafter shall remain free of and from all forever and other gifts grants bargains sales dowers rights and title of dowers judgments executions titles troubles charges and encumbrances whatsoever done or suffered to be done by them the said Anthony Sadowsky Mary Evans William Evans etc. and the said Anthony Sadowsky Mary Evans etc. and their heirs all and singular the premises hereby bargained and sold unto the said John Lowry etc. their heirs and assigns against them the said Anthony Sadowsky Mary Evans Wiliam Evans etc. and their heirs and all and every other person or persons whatsoever claiming by and with a [ ] their title shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents in witness whereof we the said Anthony Sadowsky Mary Evans William Evans David Evans Nathaniel Evans John Welch and Mary his wife John McKinney and Hannah his wife William McConnell and Rebekah his wife have hereunto set our hands and seals the day and year first above written. his Signed sealed and delivered in Anthony AS Sadowsky (seal) Presence of mark Abram Fulkerson Mary Evans (seal) Peter Allison William Evans (seal) Benj.
