On July 1, 1784 John McConnell obtained a warrant for 400 acres of land above Narrows Creek, West of Clearfield Creek in an area now in Clearfield County PA. The land was "returned" I think meaning surveyed and paid for on June 8, 1796. The patentee was John Johnston. I think this means that he purchased the land from John McConnell. The land was recorded in Book P, Number 30, Page 145. The survey is at G 271.
There was a naturalization petition by a John McConnell in Huntingdon County, PA in 1799. There are no further known records known after 1800 for John McConnell, Sr.
