MCCONNELL posted by Carolyn K. Shearer on Thursday, June 15, 2000
Would like to prove the children and the maiden name of the wife of Matthew McConnell who died before 20 Nov 1816, Philadelphia. His will names only his wife Ruth who was executress along with his friend James Musgrave. Matthew was the first president of the Philadelphia Stock Exchange and a member of the Society of Cincinnati. Very old DAR applications state that he had a brother Isaac who married Margaret Jones . Their children moved to VIrginia, but no proof was submitted for any of the information.
