[25436] In the 1820 census Jeremiah had six sons and one daughter. He doesn't appear in the 1830 census, but his sons do.

Weathersfield Twp:
Bariah Battles in 1814, bought eighty acres, which is now included within the corporation limits of Niles. He was from Crawford county, Pennsylvania. In 1816 he moved here with his family, which consisted of eleven children. Five sons and a daughter are still living, viz: Rebecca (Dray), Allen county; Caleb, Akron; John, Niles; Edward, Howland; Asa, Hancock county. Bariah Battles died in 1838, at the age of seventy-seven. His wife (nee Mary Jones) died in 1855, aged eighty-six. John Battles, one of the oldest residents of the township, was born in 1807, and came to Weathersfield with his parents. He married Sarah J. Leavings, of New York State, by whom he had seven children, all of whom are living: Mary Jane (Schwindler), Lucy (Dunlap), John E., Sarah (Allison), Laura (White, Franklin B., and William. Mr. Battles worked at iron manufacturing from the age of twenty years until 1854. With Jacob Robinson he ran the Heaton furnace from 1849 to 1854.
Beriah Battles is mentioned as the first carpenter (Mead Township, Crawford Co., PA), and found active employment in finishing log cabins.

We're already pretty certain that Hannah Battles father was Beriah Battles as found in the Weathersfield, Trumbull Co., Ohio census in 1820 and 1830 and James and Hannah (Battles) McConnell, naming their second son, Beriah McConnell.
"Alexander Ewing, born 22 Nov. 1782, Cumberland Co., Pa. (died 21 Dec. 1857, Pricetown,Ohio) married Mary Battles (daughter of Beriah Battles and Mary Jones) abt. 1811".
Further research would indicate Mary Battles was born on 28 Aug. 1792 in Washington Co., Pa. and died 16 Nov. 1871 in Trumbull Co., Ohio. A son born to Alexander Ewing and Mary Battles on April 2, 1817 in Trumbull Co., Ohio (who died Jan. 10, 1901 in Bluffton, Ohio) was named Beriah Ewing. **It is then a good possibility that Hannah Battles parents were Beriah Battles and Mary Jones.
There also appear to be subsequent son's of our senior Beriah, named Beriah as appears in the 1830 Weathersfield census (along with a Samuel) One of these went to Hancock Co., Ohio (1850 census) and was brn abt. 1797/Pa. (Farmer) married to a Elizabeth (39 yrs old) brn in Ohio.

I also found this Beriah in Jasper Co., Iowa I think it was in 1870. Also, Beriah Battles, brn 1833/Ohio, of Jasper, Iowa served with the 13th Regt Iowa Inft/Civil War.
Beriah Battles, War of 1812 served in the 135th ( Christy's) Regt. Pa. Militia and also with the 137th (Nelson's) Regt., Pa. Militia.
