Text of Article:
"NOTICE.
Whereas a certain William McConnell, Pedler [sic], late of Lancaster County, Denigal [sic] Township, Died [sic] at my house in Montgomery Township, Franklin County, on the 20th of February therefore this is to notify his heirs, if such there be, to come forward duly qualified, to defray the necessary charges, and funeral expenses incurred against the estate of the said deceased, and take possession of the same and further, if they do not comply with the above request, within sixty days from this date, that I will make sale of so much of the property, as will be necessary to defray the said expenses. And whereas, I have been informed by the said deceased, that he had deposited money in the hand of different gentlemen, they are therefore requested to leave their names, together with an account of the sums left in their hands, with John Scott, Esq. in Chambersburg, or the subscriber, in order to give the necessary information to those who may administer on said estate.
