!OCCUPATION:
Paul, was a painter, and it did not make any difference if you needed a house,
barn, or a picture painted, he did all equally well.
!DEATH:
Paul died of Kidney failure. He had Kidney problems most of his life, and the
Doctors finally determined that they needed to take out his bad Kidney. They
did, and almost immediatly, within I believe days, Paul died. They did an
Autopsy, and found that the Kidney they had removed, was his best Kidney. The
one remaining, had not been working. (maybe never)

I"History of Bourbon, Scott, Harrison and Nicholas Counties, Kentucky" edited by William Henry Perrin, 1882, Chapter 13, pages 430-431:
"Union Precinct, which is No. 5 of the election precincts of Nicholas County, lies in the southern part, and is bounded...on the south by the Bourbon County line, which is Hinkston Creek..."
"And as we have said, the date of their settlement here is not known, but it was at least a decade previous to 1800."
"The churches of Union Precinct, have an extended history. The first one built in this vicinity, was of logs and was called Shiloh. There is nothing now left to mark the spot where it stood, save a graveyard. The following with their wives, were the original members of this church: Elder Samuel Robertson, Alexander Adams, HUGH, SAMUEL and ROBERT WILEY, Richard and James Campbell, DAVID JOLLY,...DAVID GRAY...JOHN HOPKINS...etc."
HUGH WILEY was named co-executor of the 18 Nov 1819 Will of DAVID JOLLY who is my gggggg-grandfather. HUGH WILEY was also a witness to the 21 Jan 1820 Will of MARTHA JOLLY who was David's daughter.
In library book, "Nicholas County KY Stray Book 1, 1805-1811 and Book 2, 1813-1819" a HUGH WILEY is shown as the "Justice".
