There is no real proof that Henry was his [Peter Jolly] son except that there was a slip of paper in the Admin. papers, being a receipt for some pigs sold at the estate auction & it was signed by Henry Jolly There are many letters written by Judge Henry Jolly that have survived in print so checking signatures was not difficult. There is no question that the signatures match and if he wasn't a member of the Family. It wouldn't have seemed likely he would have signed it, Martha would have. Likewise you often see an Elizabeth that married a George Humphreys listed as his daughter & this one I will challenge. As well as James of Wash. Co. as being a son. Neither of them were.
Per Find-a-grave:
Rachel and Henry were the parents of five children:
Son/abt 1787
Son/abt 1789
Son/abt 1791
Son/abt 1793
Daughter/abt 1795

That sometime during that spring he was attached to a regiment of riflemen, commanded by Colonel Daniel Morgan and that he served in said regiment until the spring of 1778, when he returned to his Former regiment, in the Pennsylvania Line where he continued to serve until the month of August 1779.
