March 13, 1734; d. Feb. 15, 1821 (both buried at Mingo graveyard, Union township, Washington county, Penn.;
Charity Gaston being the daughter of Joseph Cheeseman of Upper Freehold (now Millstone) township Monmouth
county, N.J., who d. 1783; and probably a descendant of the William Cheeseman who settled at Middletown
Monmouth county, 1667); removed from Monmouth county, N.J., after 1767, to Mount Bethel township,
Northampton county, Penn., where he took up 275 acres of land in Feb. 1772; served a major in the Revolutionary
War; removed, about 1780 - 1782, to Rostraver township, Westmoreland county, Penn., and thence, about 1790,
to Peters (now Union) township, Washington county, his wife's sister, Elizabeth Cheeseman, accompanying them;
had issue:
1. William, b. July 15, 1761; removed to Ohio
2. Joseph, b. April 25, 1763; d. Nov. 21, 1821; removed to Abbeyville District, S.C.; served as captain and
major of the Savannah Regiment in the Revolutionary War, 1782; m. Martha Hutton, and thence, about 1807,
removed to Butler county, Ohio; had issue:

ii. Ann, b. Dec. 16, 1785
