Per terms of Samuel McConnell's will, William was to receive interest for his support until his death and then the balance of money from the estate was to be distributed among the remaining children. This happened in 1861, so that is probably when William McConnell died. It is likely he received this interest to help in the support of Susannah, the surviving spouse of Samuel.
