[7520] Luella died at 9:40 o'clock Wednesday morning, March 19, 1902 at St. John Hospital of Brights Disease. She was 47 years of age. She was born in Kentucky and at an early age of four years came to Clear Lake Township with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Harry Patterson. Mrs. McConnell formerly was Miss Luella Patterson and in 1875 she married E.O. McConnell of this city. Until 12 years ago they resided in Springfield. Then they moved to Chicago, Mrs. McConnell was a devout Christian and had always been a member of the Medthodist Episcopal Church. Mrs. McConnell was well known in Springfield and Clear Lake her former home. She is survived by her husband and 4 children Will H. McConnell of The State Journal, DeWitt McConnell and Fay McConnell of this city and Luella of Chicago. The remains were removed to the residence of Mrs. McConnells brother in law, Will McConnell, 513 S. 7th Street. The funeral will be held this afternoon at the residence.
