!Glennon Harold Allen, had been in a nursing home for 2 or 3 years prior to his
death, and Mildred lived in an apartment next door. Mildred said Glen was
taken to the Starmont Vail Hospital at 4 AM Aug 14, and passed away at 10:30 AM
Saturday Aug 15. He never regained consciousness - Peneumonia and Staff
infection. Mildred will continue to live in the apartment. Her address is
Mrs. Mildred Allen 1608 SW 37th Street Apt G5 Topeka, KA 66611.
!Please let Lucille and others around there know about Glen's death.
!Regina died several years ago of a heart attack. She was teaching Art in the
high schools in Topeka at the time. I saw Regina and her husband Dick Bernatis
in 1977, on our way back on a choir trip to Denver. Then I saw Glen and
Mildred in their home on my trip to Kansas in 1982. They seemed spry and
active then.
!Glen was like a brother to mother when Grandpa and Grandma Chamberlain raised
him after his mother died when he about four years old. In Laurence he
delivered milk at 3:00 AM every day for many years. Later he went into the
Insurance and later Real Estate Business. I don't know when they moved to
Topeka. After Regina died Dick kept in closer touch with Glen.
