[61461] Our ggg grandfather Robert McConnell and his three brothers, John, Andrew and Gibson resided in Poughkeepsie NY in 1860. Their father's name was James McConnell (b. Ulster, Ireland) and Mary Gibson (b. Scotland). Robert was a carpenter and Andrew a carriagemaker. Robert served in the Civil War as a captain in Co. B of the 150th Regiment out of Poughkeepsie. They were all Epicopals. It seems that between 1860-1870 most of them left at seperate times with their families for San Francisco, CA.
