Died. Jan 4th, [1900] at the home of his son John MConnel, four miles east of town, Washington McConnel, one of the county's oldest and most respected citizens. The burial occured the following day at Union Cemetery near Bell's Chapel, with masonic honors. The deceased was a member of he C. P. Chuch and led an honest and upright Christian life.

His wife, Isabella Power Irwin died Jany 23, 1873. Both are buried at Round Hill g.y.
