He gave his residence as Jacksonville, Morgan Co., OH although when he was in a Civil War home he put that his residence was at Taylorville, Christian Co., IL. His occupation was a farmer. His nativity (where he was born) was Nashville, Holmes Co., Ohio. He joined August 13, 1861 in Jacksonville, Illinois. He joined for a period of three years. He mustered in in Cairo, IL. He reenlisted as a veteran volunteer. He reenlisted on January 1, 1864 in Rossville, GA as a corporal. He mustered out in Louisville, KY on July 4, 1865.
He applied for benefits as an invalid at a disabled soldiers home on 12/23/1889 and left on 9/29/1900. He died Feb 12, 1906.
