[6146] Daniel McConnell was a member of a Lancaster count company of Associators during the American Revolution, and was elected court-martial man from his company. His sons, Samuel, David and Hugh,were married to three sisters, who were daughters of Captain Thomas Whiteside, who lost an arm in the battle of Long Island. He was an Englishman who came to Lancaster County in the 18th century, and who was there married to Margaret Porter. Info from Elliot McConnell: Daniel's wife was Mary McCommons?.

Bequethed to his son Samuel McConnell his land bounded by land owned by Alexander Mouson and John Andrews. Other land was given to his son Daniel McConnell. Hugh McConnell was given one pound. David McConnell was given one pound. His daughter Mary Clendenen was given one pound. His daughter Martha is given a four year old red cow, the remainder of the estate to his son Daniel McConnell. Hugh and Samuel McConnell were named the executors. Signed December 19, 1796. The will was proved March 1, 1797.
